The Mission of Avalon Dance is to offer an eclectic style of dancing to expand the knowledge base and creativity of the students we serve. We will be committed to both the traditional and non-traditional forms of dance that will reflect the diverse culture of our community. Avalon Dance will commit its resources to develop trained professional dance enthusiasts well as those interested in the art of dance as a recreational form to health and wellness.
Tkea LeGrande, Owner & Artistic Director of Avalon Dance always dreamed of owning her own studio. After receiving her degree in Performing Arts, she knew it was time to plan and open a studio.
Tkea married, started a family, quit her 9-5 job and opened up her dream studio! Her love and passion for dance will continue on forever. She is so very thankful for all those who have supported her in this journey.
T'Kea LeGrandeOwner and Artistic Director
T'Kea is a Philadelphia, PA native. Starting as a student in a local studio and studying with the original philadanco school, T'Kea always knew she was meant to be on stage. While in high school she trained at Touch of Class in west Chester PA under the Expertise of Mrs. Debbie Apalucci and The 76ers Dance Team. After High School she relocated to Orlando FL, where she received her degree in performing arts from Valencia Community College. At Valencia she studied and performed many forms of dance under the teachings of popular dance companies such as Limon and Ailey II. As a member of Valencia Dance program, T'Kea promoted the program on TV commercials, radio, and billboards all over central Florida.
During her Time in Florida, T'Kea has performed and Choreographed for the popular girl band, Cassiopeia. After college T'Kea relocated to her home town where she accepted a position as the artistic director of the dance program at the Crozer Keystone Healthplex. There she taught Ballet, Hip-Hop, Caribbean cardio, and Modern dance to all ages. During her time in Philadelphia she also trained and took classes with the Modern dance Company, Koresh. After a few years she met her husband and moved to Orlando to start a family and open her own Dance Studio, AVALON DANCE.
Alex BullardAssistant Artistic Director / InstructorAlex grew up on the beaches of Panama City, where she began dancing at age 3. She spent the majority of her years at Tonie's Dance Workshop, where she trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical, and Character. While training, she also appeared in many productions, such as The Great Russian Nutcracker, A Christmas Story, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. Growing up, she always knew her place in dance was to teach. She started teaching as early as 16 at Lesley Kemp's School of Dance. Her senior year in High School she became Bay High's Dance Academy President where she started to coach and choreograph The Bay High School Rockettes, and the hip-hop team "Twisted." She continued her work with the school's teams after graduation, while also accepting a position to teach at The Academy of Dance and Performing Arts in 2011. After moving to Orlando in 2015, Alex has been with Avalon Dance since. You’ll see her smiling face at the front desk, on the dance floor, and with The Avalon Dance Company Competition Team. Since starting her teaching career, she has produced numerous routines that have been awarded the choreography award at Celebration Talent, Turn It Up Dance Challenge, Titanium, and Cutting Edge Dance Competition, as well as first place overall pieces. She loves being with Avalon Dance, and can not wait for many years to come!
David SandersBallet / Point Instructor
Originally from Dallas Texas David is currently training with former Kiev Ballet principal dancers Vadim Fedatov and Irina Depler at their Russian Ballet Orlando School. He attended the University of Arizona School of Dance taking 6-8 hours of dance class per day in Modern, Jazz and Ballet. He began his training after leaving musical theater under the tutelage of Les Jordan III of North Central Ballet in Keller, Texas.
He has taught classical pas de deux technique in schools across the country as well as instructed students of all ages in Ballet since 2010.

Phoenix ElmerBallet Instructor / Teacher's Assistant
Phoenix began her dance career at the tender age of six.She has trained most of her life in the Vaganova (Russian) method of ballet. For the past several years she has been with the Orlando Ballet as a full time Trainee. Phoenix has competed at many prestigious ballet competitions including Youth America Grand Prix ( YAGP), The World Ballet Competition (WBC) and The American Dance Competition (ADC/IBC). She has won several awards including a Bronze Medal for ballet at WBC. She has also been awarded many full scholarships to nationally known ballet companies including The American Ballet Theatre (ABT) in New York City. Phoenix enjoys teaching the art of ballet to others and sharing all that she has learned over the past 13 years.
